Amman is a very interesting place. So many things are so different from Germany. Time is liquid and not fixed and stare, the weather is every day the same (nice sunshine!) and the people have a very different attiude of life. Friends and free time are much more important than the work.
The nearby mosque wakes me every day through their (really bad) amplified prayers. The desert delivers a very nice climate. Although there are 32°C, the warmth feels very comfortable, due to the dry air. Unfortunately the air is very polluted with all different kind of gases and dust. The smell of not so well burned diesel lies in the air every morning.
When it comes to the mixing of the alternative versions of Die Letzte Droge, I can do the job here without a problem. I have some of the best recording and mixing facilities in the middle east for my purposes here.
So, if anyone of you has ever planned to come to the middle east, don`t hesitate to drop me a mail (philipp.klose[at]gmx.de). The flights are cheap and I have a spare bedroom for guests...
