Remo is our new man establishing the Mac User Party at VEB FILM Leipzig >:) He actually has a background as a coder in a few Open Source Software projects, but he also worked with movie- and playhouse guys in the technical department. He will be the first one working on the "The Last Drug" Open Source Footage using Final Cut.
On Thursday the 11th "Route 66" will be shown at the Freshman Student Party in Leipzigs biggest cultural center - the Moritzbastei. Some of the VEB crew will be there and Tom aka valleyforge is going to play the soundtrack.
Friday the 12th I'll be talking about "The Last Drug" in the Newthinking Store in Berlin - the worlds first Linux Trend Store, by the way. We will show some new stuff from the movie and considering the Newthinking community I guess we will put the focus of the talk on the Free Culture philosophy of our netlabel.
Was ist los? Und dann geht auch noch die Sonne auf! Bizarre Pilz-Sucher kommen aus allen Seiten auf uns zu, als wir die Höhle verlassen.
Rides can be more than a way of traveling. I would also recommend it to every creative professional.
Maria Bieber, for instance, got in touch with us via put a few strangers in a car for some hours and assisted us later, when we were shooting.
Christoph Richter and I also met on a ride. After he chanced to hear a feature about us in the radio he remembered us and started to record a still missing off-voice with narrator Oliver Fuehrmann, for the The Last Drug, our recent Open Source feature film production. Perfect timing since I was about to edit the scenes from the pick up shooting last month .
The voice fits in, so we are one step further. Credits goes to Oliver and Christoph, who pulled it from their "work after Feierabend"-stack of their label
for us.

Deutschlandradio Culture broadcasted a nice feature about us on Monday. Journalist Marcus Weber, who first heard about VEB FILM in the Leipziger Volkszeitung, accompanied us recently at a shooting and dubbing session and produced this nice feature.
Nedeos is a video sharing website for clips and films - especially for mobile devices. To support us in the final stage of post-production of "The Last Drug", Nedeos just donated 1.000 Euro! Without doing all the talking, without expecting anything in exchange - just to help. Guys like that are rare! If you are still looking for a website for your video clips where you feel like being in good hands: have a look at Nedeos.TV. I don't know the guys in person, yet, but that donation tells me more about them, that lots of animated banners. We deeply appreciate it!
